How to get onto the lake from Virpazar
Boats leave from both sides of the old stone bridge, and you reach open water in about ten minutes. Most visitors take either a 90-minute shared loop or a four-hour private route — the second is what people remember. Book a traditional wooden boat tour ahead in July and August; walk-up availability disappears by mid-morning.
Getting to Virpazar
Podgorica 40 min, Bar 30 min, Budva 60 min, Kotor 90 min, Tivat airport 80 min. Trains from Bar and Podgorica stop a kilometre from the bridge. Parking in the village is the one real difficulty in summer — a reserved space near the departure point removes it entirely.
